Ujjain Kumbh Mela
The first day of Ujjain Poorn Kumbh Mela is a very special one. Some thousands of sadhus, some in saffron and most of them nude, will appear at the venue. This event is called as Shahi Snaan or RajaYog Snaan. These sadhus will take first bath of Ujjain Poorn Kumbh Mela on the first day. They hold the Trishool (trident), Khadg (sword) and Gada (mace) while taking holy bath. After them remaining devotees will take holy bath in the river. Devotees fill the path Naga Sadhus walk with different flowers. The dust from the walk way of Sadhus is taken and smeared on the head as it is considered holy.
Sadhus who appear on the first day of Kumbh Mela are considered aspects of Lord Shiva. They are seldom seen on the other days except on the days of Kumbh Mela.
