Vaisakha Masam is said to be the favourite month of the eternal soul Sri Maha Vishnu. That is why Vaisakha Masam is also known as Madhava Masam. This month got the name of Vaishakham because of the Moon’s transit in Vishakha Nakshatram. Vaisakha Masam which is also known as Madhava Masam is very important for the devotees of Sri Maha Vishnu. It is strongly said to propitiate Maha Vishnu and Maha Lakshmi with Tulasi leaves.
