Life is full of surprises and whole lot off lessons. Many of them live their lives before us including our parents and elders. Each one will see life in their own perspective and cannot arrive at a balanced opinion about life. So there arises a question for a thinker, what life is all about and who will answer all the questions. If your consciousness is so strong and you start searching answers for yourself and start questioning every other answer you get from different perspectives, you become your own guru. But till a certain distance everybody needs someone to guide you through the way, at least someone who knows a little about the path. Be is Shirdi Sai Baba, Satya Sai Baba, Osho, Acharya Rajanish, Sri Sri of Art of Living or anyone else, they can guide you till you are ready and you have to go on your own journey. Guru is not a companion but the one accompanies you to help you get rid of all your fears and gives enlightenment required for the rest of the journey.
The secret of journey is to know yourself better, to the core, like no one understood you before. When we look back there will always be a guru in the form of mother, father, siblings, spouses, in laws, relatives, friends, situations, experiences, society and the world as a whole. If you are a real seeker you will just realize that the ultimate guru lies within you. You need yourself as a guru. The key is to get your head in to those thoughts, to know who you are.
