Lord Hanuman is blessed to be an immortal and he lives to the end of the universe. Lord Hanuman has many manifestations like Panchamukha or five faced Hanuman, Saptamukha or seven faced Hanuman, Bala Hanuman, Dhyananjaneya and the list goes on. But we can see the symbolism of Hanuman who is bond to a yantra where he manifested himself into a yantra at only one place. That is none other than Yantroddharaka Hanuman.
2. How did the incarnation of Yantroddharaka Hanuman happen?
Vyasarayar was a great devotee of Lord Hanuman. He drew an image of Lord Hanuman and used to worship him with a chunk of coal. One day he was sitting on the banks of river Tungabhadra. He drew an image of Lord Hanuma on a rock with a chunk of coal and started worshipping it. During worship a monkey emerged out of that image and ran away. It happened for consecutive 12 days. Vyasarayaru was exhausted of this and prayed Lord Hanuman to solve this riddle. Pleased by the prayer of Vyasarayaru, Lord Hanuma appeared in meditation, gave him the visual of the yantra, kept all the twelve monkeys around it and he himself entered it. The divine power of Lord Anjaneya lies in that place in the form of Yantroddharaka Hanuma. Chakrateertham is situated near Hospet, Bellary in Karnataka.
